I owe you all a more robust letter, and I’ll try and do one soon, but thought I’d share a couple drafts of poems that I have been working on lately. The first of these is a poem I wrote after learning that all of my books have been used to train a large language model (Artificial Intelligence), which is not something unique to me and it seems like most everything that has been written is in there (for better or for worse).

What was the most amusing/interesting to me is that apparently there is a review or something that my grandfather wrote which they also trained the AI with (as I searched “Stintzi” and found him). Which is somewhat nice, to think about there being an AI that has us both in there, in a way that we never really crossed paths (he was not a writer, and passed before I really wrote/shared much of my stuff). Maybe I will ask the AI to write some sort of collaborative piece. Perhaps his words will somehow poison it into not being able to mimic me (not that I think that anyone could mimic me in a satisfying way).
